If you'd like to spoil yourself, we have HAD the solution! (since the birth of our daughter we have now taken this room out of the mix...sorry folks!)

You will step into a spacious sunny room with views to two sides, which will take your breath away. From your bedroom you can enter the porch, watch the stars at night or enjoy a breakfast on top of the world. You will have a king size bed, TV, WIFI and a superb bathroom with your own Jacuzzi.

As this is not part of the backpacker accommodation, there is no kitchen... however you can use our BBQ on request, and of course there are complimentary tea and coffee making facilities in your room.

So just bring some free time and treat yourself.

Some events last season in the Main Lodge:

Here's just a few of the events we've had at the main lodge. These are of course in addition to the many activities you can take part in around Fiordland!

Sat night concerts:  live piano recitals with music by Scarlatti, Brahms, Barber, Beethoven, Chopin and other composers.

Theme night: Opera and dining: 25 people enjoyed the history of the Rake's Progress by Stravinsky, with dinner cooked by Hannah and Andrea, our helping hands.

Irish jam session with 2 young musicians from Auckland.

John von Burskirk and Tessa Petersen: excellent piano and violin concert with a special feature piano four hands with John and Kerstin.

Some movie and karaoke nights with Jimmy's home-baked banana cake.
